Our business sells reusable nappies and other zero waste products to caregivers of babies and young children and aims to help customers choose the best reusable nappies for their family.

You would have responsibility for the managing and processing of online orders.
Inventory control, and the picking and packing orders from the website realnappylife.co.uk

The business needs help managing the stock and online sales part of the business.

The role will involve both the routine daily packing and despatch of orders received, together with associated customer service in the shop, and the longer-term development of the online retail business.

  • Part-time 20 hrs per week Tue-Sat
  • 4 hrs per day (plus overtime when required)
  • To start ASAP

Responsibilities

  • Maintain stock and load shelving with stock in stock room;
  • Pack neatly and despatch orders received via the website;
  • Liaise with Royal Mail / couriers to book in and prepare items for collection;
  • Pick items for retail customers in the shop;
  • Identify non-routine customer enquiries and escalate as appropriate;
  • Handle returns, organising replacements or refunds as necessary, and keep accurate records of items returned or lost in transit;
  • Manage stock levels and adjust pricing using in-house electronic stock-control systems;
  • Maintain a tidy and well-organised stock storage system;
  • Monitor stock levels for ordering and 'dead' stock;
  • Unpack, check and upload new stock to electronic stock-control system;
  • Respond to customer queries and issues over WhatsApp and e-mail;
  • Possibility to cross train as barista and sales associate in the café if not already barista trained.

What we are looking for

The successful applicant might have previous sales order processing experience, but will definitely be passionate about the difference reusable nappies make to the environment.
As a business focused on reusable products, 'green' behaviour will be encouraged and expected in the workplace.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a good eye for detail and accuracy;
  • possesses excellent literacy and numeracy skills;
  • is friendly by nature and really cares about customer service;
  • is willing to learn all there is to know about reusable nappies;
  • can use their initiative;
  • has drive, enthusiasm and a "can do attitude"

 

What you can expect in return

  • Salary - London Living Wage £10.85 per hour
    £21,157 pro-rata;
